Network Provider Newsletter - September 2019

Thank you!
September 8-14th was National Direct Support Professional Recognition Week!  On behalf of Care Design NY, we want to extend our appreciation to all dedicated direct support professionals throughout the Care Design NY network. Your hard work and ongoing commitment to support individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities is critical to the work we do daily. Thank you for all that you do and continue to do!

Did you know it's Recovery Month?

The month of September is designated, by Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, as the month to “…educate Americans that substance use treatment and mental health services can enable those with mental and substance use disorders to live healthy and rewarding lives.”

The 2019 Recovery Month theme, “Join the Voices for Recovery: Together We Are Stronger,” emphasizes the need to share resources and build networks across the country to support those in recovery. If you have an opportunity- connect with your community’s NYSTART Team to request support in resources and/or trainings to educate your organization on how to best serve our population.

Care Design NY is determined and dedicated to support and raise awareness on the continued need of services for mental health and substance use in our communities by continuing the conversation and raising awareness while connecting to supports and services.    If your organization provides a service or program that supports mental health, substance use and wellness, or if you know of an organization that does, we'd love to learn more and share your information!  Contact the Care Design NY Provider Relations team atproviderrelations@caredesignny.org
